Man: “Wait, why is it one-way only? It’s expensive buying a second, you know.”

Dude: “Oh, sorry. I though that because nobody was expecting you to return, you wouldn’t want to.”.

Innocence.

This is a story. A story about a girl who was born, pure, innocent, by two curious human beings. Now these human beings, being so curious, got curious of each other, and the little girl was the result of their curiosity, and probably blooming love.

The human beings, yet still so curious, got themselves into an experiment. They decided that they’d teach their precious girl to see the difference between right and wrong; so the little girl was brought up, thinking, no, knowing, that “yes” means “no” and “no” means “yes”.

Now, she had a happy little childhood, as she was still too young to be let out and play with others, those who wouldn’t see between right and wrong, she was kept, happily, with her family. An example, of their conversation:

CuriousMom: “Do you want spaghetti meatball for dinner, sweetheart?”

LittleGirl: “No, mama!”

CuriousMom: : “All right then, spaghetti meatball it is.”

They loved each other.

But time passes by, until the day when kindergarten finally started.

Example number 2, between the girl and the caring patient teacher.

LessLittleGirl: “Good morning, miss caring patient teacher.”

CaringPatientTeacher: “Why, good morning, dear. Did you have a good time?”

LessLittleGirl: “No, miss. I did not.”

At this point, the caring patient teacher was a little annoyed, as she expected nothing from her children aside from being content with everything they had.

CaringPatientTeacher: “Isn’t that sad. Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?”

LessLittleGirl (smiled): “No, teacher. That’s be great.”

CaringPatientTeacher: “What do you mean, then? Don’t you trust me?”

LessLittleGirl (a little bit confused) : “No, teacher?”

CaringPatientTeacher (just a little bit pissed) : “Really? You don’t trust me?”

LessLittleGirl: “Yes, teacher. I do not trust you.”

Now, at this point, the caring patient teacher was losing her patience for the less little girl. She has never expected anything like this, from any of her children. And to her, it was unacceptable.

CaringPatientTeacher: “Are you trying to mess with me, young lady?”

LessLittleGirl (very confused): “Yes, teacher?” (and probably scared, abit, too).

Caring___Teacher: “That’s it, I’m calling your parents! And I do not expect you to come back here with this kind of attitude again, do you understand, missy?:

LessLittleGirl (started sobbing) : “No, teacher…”

When the curious mother human being came to pick her less little girl up, she was somewhat surprised, seeing her oh so fine daughter being glared at by the caring patient teacher. Well, at least she looked so in the morning. As they came home, she went to have a little chat with the other curious father human being, for the now-realized consequenses of their curiosity. And they came to agree that they should teach their innocent beloved again, for the sake of her view point.

CuriousFather: “Now, do you want spaghetti meatball?”

LessLittleGirl: “No, papa.”

CuriousMother: “If you want to, you must say “yes” to papa, darling.”

LessLittleGirl: “But why, mama? I like spaghetti meatball.”

CuriousFather: “Because that’s the way it is, now. Understand, darling?”

LessLittleGirl : “Yes, papa.”

The attempt went on and on for the whole afternoon, until the three tummy started to seriously growl; the original curious human beings looked at each other, sighed.

CuriousMom: “I’ll get you a spaghetti meatball, no?”

LittleLessLittleGirl (joyously) : “No, mama!”

Curious mother human being went to prepare for the meal, as she shared the same thought with curious father human being, secretly and sincerely thanking that the day she realizes her ability to say yes and no to them, truly, are still very far away.

So they kept enjoy eating their meal.

Useless-short story (Kingpin remix).

The three walked to the hollows of the wall, of which they liked to call their own balconies. Most of the time, each slot was one of their own, but sometimes, they mixes it up. Just to see how is it like, looking from another’s looking glass. Lady, with a glass of “Lady” (imitation cocktail, an olive and water), leaned her feather light body weight on the wall, knowing the posture would showcase the best out of her curves, spoke up in monotone; somehow, it came out (interestingly) sexy from her plump, blood red lips:

“The city is on fire.”-taking a sip-“Both metaphorically and literally.”

“Don’t you find stating something obvious a waste of time?”-Big Guy, standing in his confortable slot in the middle, kept his eyes down to the flames.

People were running, screaming, devastating and miserable-ly-ing, pushing each other out of the way. All they wanted, and archieved, was to rush away from the flambing red fire, “Life”, as the three liked to call it.

“It’s devastating, you know. Everyday, we watch the same scene.”-the Young, tilted his head forward, a smidgen bit closer to the flame, showing most affections for the downer. An affection, which has long been lost in Big Guy and Lady. They were thought, to have wisen up. Still, they kept Young. He was a rather…refreshing wind. They liked it. They just never admits to him that they needed it. As long as he doesn’t ask.

“Yes, even I feel like losing my appetite watching it.”-Lady, with a new found mockery, towards whom was still under question, raised her perfectly trimmed eye-brow.

“Like you actually ever eats.”-Young mumbled, a bit unecessary loud, earning himseld a sweet seductive smile from Lady. It sent chills to his spine, not in a good way.-“Anyway,”-he changed to Big-“Aren’t we gonna do something? You know, about this?”

Big kept his eyes on the flame. Silence filled the room during the gap his thinking made.

“No.”-rather bluntly.

“Really? So we’re just going to be standing here, all…useless?”

“No. We’re not useless.”-Big turned his back towards the sight-“But only useful for the right time.”

Lady and Young looked after him. A sigh came from Young, though he knew the answer well.

Lady silently took another sip from her cocktail (olive flavored water), and came after Big, hips shaking:

“I’ll make some crepe suzette for dinner.”

“With bitter sweet orange marmalade?”-Young put his hand in his tailored pants pockets, following the elders’lead.

“Yeah, sure.”

“And better not forget to flambe it.”-Big lifted his head up from his newspaper, smiled.
